Connecticut Taproom Partners

A New Type of Taproom

While many breweries and taprooms are shifting away from food service, often relying on food trucks to fill the void, Surfridge owners Jen & Steve Lieberman had a different idea for their Connecticut location. Their idea was to combine some of their favorite items into one concept: Craft Beer + Raw Bar.

This idea ballooned into adding a custom-built wood oven on site to offer hot pizza and other hot items. From there a unique and creative menu was born built on the following concepts:

  • Local Ingredients
  • Fresh Ingredients
  • High-Flavor Dishes

Local Partnerships Key to Success

Yes, Surfridge Brewing Co is an award-winning brewery, but we also offer a full cocktail menu, mocktail menu, and food menu as well. To do this we partner with local and regional businesses who share our passion for high quality products produced locally. We decided one Sunday to go on a Brewery Crawl. This was our first stop. Loved it. Loved my beer and would gladly go again. My friends said the Stout was excellent, myself I enjoyed a pilsner.

This review is long overdue, but it’s high time I shout out the excellent team at Surfridge! Alex, Cassidy and Casey especially create a relaxed and warm environment that makes everyone who stops in feel like a VIP. The beer and pizza are the headliners for good reason, but don’t sleep on the cocktails, mocktails and small plates. Unlike other spots on the shoreline, their seasonally changing menu is both creative and approachable, making it a perfect choice for families and big groups. Lastly, it’s one of the few restaurants in the area that *actually* still feels like a great value - especially on Fridays, when they offer 2 for 1 pizzas. Thanks for being awesome guys, keep it up! 🍕 🫶 🍻

Went on a Friday at 4 and was pleasantly surprised for the buy one get one pizza! The mocktails and sour monkey were delicious. My husband loved his very bitter hazy. Perfect for families or friends.

Sat at the bar and enjoyed a pomegranate spritzer and my husband had very bitty hazy beer. They offer food, but we just stopped in for a quick drink before going on the train. It's a nice place to go.

Stopped in for a drink but it was a fun atmosphere. Small beer list for a brewery but it was good.
